24 HOURS SERVICE

To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom. To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. People don’t deserve the restraint we show by not going into delirium in front of them. To hell with them!

In life, many thoughts are born in the course of a moment, an hour, a day. Some are dreams, some visions. Often, we are unable to distinguish between them. To some, they are the same; however, not all dreams are visions. Much energy is lost in fanciful dreams that never bear fruit. But visions are messages from the Great Spirit, each for a different purpose in life. Consequently, one person’s vision may not be that of another. To have a vision, one must be prepared to receive it, and when it comes, to accept it. Thus when these inner urges become reality, only then can visions be fulfilled. The spiritual side of life knows everyone’s heart and who to trust. How could a vision ever be given to someone to harbor if that person could not be trusted to carry it out. The message is simple: commitment precedes vision.

You may wonder, ‘How can I leave it all behind if I am just coming back to it? How can I make a new beginning if I simply return to the old?’ The answer lies in the return. You will not come back to the ’same old thing.’ What you return to has changed because you have changed. Your perceptions will be altered. You will not incorporate into the same body, status, or world you left behind. The river has been flowing while you were gone. Now it does not look like the same river.

The Panic

Posted by mungki.murder.inc 28 June, 2008 (4) Comment

The Panic berdiri sekitar pertengahan tahun 2001, diawali
kehidupan manusia.

Roots dari musik kami adalah Rock (Enigmatic Rock with
Harmony) yang menyisipkan keharmonisan sounds dan nada
pada musik kami dengan harapan dapat memberikan
atmosphere tersendiri. Roots musik the panic didapat dari
penggabungan karakter masing-masing personel yaitu Rock,
Clasic Rock, Shoegaze, dan Punk yang merupakan warna dasar
dan karakter dasar dari masing-masing personel yang kami
gabungkan sehingga didapat roots ”Enigmatic Rock”.
Panic.

Musik The Panic banyak dipengaruhi oleh Radiohead, Muse,
Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, dan lain sebagainya.
influence banyak band.

Mocca

mocca 2008

The story began when two best friends: — Arina and Riko — got together in a college band. After a year of struggling with the boredom of performing other people’s music, they decided to write their own songs.

In 1997 they composed four songs, unfortunately, those songs weren’t well accepted by the other members of the band. After caught up in conflicts and tons of disagreements, the band decided to split up leaving Arina and Riko mystified with their deserted materials.

Their debut album “My Diary” contains 13 songs written from a girl’s point of view and her diary entries. The album starts with a Once Upon A Time and is followed by a song telling of a first encounter with her Secret Admirer. Then after much hesitation in Twist Me Around, she decides to go steady with the boy in Me & My Boyfriend. In Telephone they break up, understanding that When the Moonlight Shines, they just weren’t meant for each other and thus, Rain Will Fall, Life Keeps On Turning.

From waltz and bossanova to ’70s disco and rock, each song (written in English) has a different beat determined by the girl’s mood. When playing live, Mocca is supported by six additional players on keyboards, guitar, percussion, trumpet, trombone and sax.

Discography :

My Diary

mocca first album

Their debut album My Diary contains 13 songs which were written sequentially based on their story telling concept.

The concept was illustrated by Mocca through a girl’s point of view who frequently wrote her daily experiences into a diary.

The album started with a song: ‘Once upon a time’ as an intro, and followed by her first encounter with her secret admirer (song: secret admirer), then after a long hesitation (twist me around, what if) she decided to get steady with the boy (me & my boyfriend). Thus, they caught up in a fight (telephone), got broke up(when the moonlight shine), and in the end they understood that they weren’t meant for each other (Rain will fall, Life keeps on turning).

“All songs are written in English, therefore most part of the world could understand the lyrics and it’ll alleviate mocca’s way to go international. ”

Every event was signified by different beat according to the girl’s mood. There are waltz, bossanova, rock n roll even 70’s disco beat.

Pure Saturday

pure saturday 2008

Pure Saturday, The Pioneer and Indonesian indie darlings. Formed by Muhammad Suar Nasution (vocals, guitar), Ade Purnama (bass), Aditya “Adhi” Ardinugraha (guitar), Yudistira “Udhi” Ardinugraha (drums) and Arief Hamdani (guitar) in 1994, they were pioneers of the Bandung indie scene. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1996, the first 5000 copies of which were sold innovatively via mail-order through a teen magazine. The album was then available on wide distribution after the band signed with Ceepee Records. The single “Kosong” made them household names, with the artistic accompanying video gaining heavy rotation.

Their more complex and challenging second album, Utopia, was released in 1999 through Aquarius Musikindo. Because of family and business reasons, Pure Saturday was mostly inactive for several years, culminating in Suar’s departure in 2004. After unsuccessful auditions to find a suitable replacement vocalist, fate intervened one day when Satria “Iyo” NB, the band’s manager, filled in during rehearsals. The guy they were looking for was there all along!

With their new lead singer in tow, Pure Saturday released its long-awaited third album, Elora, in March 2005 through FastForward Records.

And in Early 2008 they lounched to the public that their old vocalist are back into the line..so now they have 2 vocalist in one band..what a great..

This made it official: Pure Saturday was reborn and ready to rock again!

LAIN

Posted by egi 11 June, 2008 (0) Comment

4 ordinary people with musical talents, driven by the same vision in music, Aghi Narottama, Harris Khaseli, Bemby Gusti & Iman Fattah decide to get together in a band and bring their musical vision up front. without much of a problem, they recorded the songs in Seattle, USA in 2000 and finally released by mid 2001.

LAIN…a project of these 4 young people are nothing more but a band, an institution which they can express themselves in whatever artform they want. in fact, each of these individuals have their own project.

Aghi is the brain behind an electronic/experimental band “APEONTHEROOF”, which blend the elements of strings and danceable electronic beats to make an inspiring music with a female vocalist Utari Syaukat. Bemby also play with “SORE”, an imaginative but highly anticipated band that break all the traditional rules of popular music on local music scene. and there is “ZEKE AND THE POPO”, a trippy, experimental, dark, layered ambient sounds blend with a british vintage guitar driven music by 2 of the members, Zeke & Iman. some even say that “ZATPP” (a nickname for zeke and the popo) is “LAIN in a slight darker but cathcy tunes”.
